Review: MFCA Webinar hands-on   Hamburg Environmental Authority (BUKEA) together with ifu Hamburg organized a webinar series on material efficiency in which Hamburg-based companies presented their experiences with the MFCA method. Learn from the exciting pilot projects and watch the recordings.   Best Practice: fischer Group   In this case study, ifu Hamburg consultants helped the fisher Group discover optimization potentials in their new production process through MFCA. By comparing different scenarios, they were able to increase efficiency in the low-loss production process.   Best Practice: Mineralix   In this case study, ifu Hamburg consultants supported the plant design at Mineralix using MFCA. The goal was to achieve transparency in costs, savings potential and process optimization already during the planning phase. The investment decision for the new processing plant could thus be secured.   Hands on the materials   We are living in a material world and it is worth deep diving into this world in order to put resource efficiency into practice. This article zooms into the world of materials by explaining the different material types and their management. In addition it considers changing management regulations.   Call for survery participation And finally, we pass on a request from the LCA Round Table: Scientists from the Technical Universities of Dresden and Braunschweig have prepared a survey to record and evaluate the knowledge, obstacles and potentials of LCA in business and science.
